   电感数字转换器 (LDC) 可测量用作按钮的金属表面的形变， 以此检测按钮是否被按下。 要检测按钮是否被按下， 子系统必须能够检测出金属表面上微米量级的极为细微的形变。 此系统必须具备极低的噪声， 才能测出按下按钮本身时所测得的变化。 另外， 系统必须能够区分相邻按钮的按下操作， 以避免检测到错误的按钮按压操作。 在此 TI 参加设计配置中， 机械设计可以确保按钮两两之间紧密相邻； 因此， 当按下一个按钮时， 相邻的按钮并不会检测到按压操作， 反之亦然。
    电感数字转换器在选型时的另一个考虑因素是， 是否能够处理不同环境条件下的测量结果变化。 此 TI 参加设计实现了固件滤波， 以减轻环境变化所带来的影响。 此外， 如果要求在环境变化时保持较高精度， 设计中还可以包括湿度和温度传感器。
